The beautiful City of Lakes turned into a sparkling wonder when millions of earthen lamps and remarkable decoration brightened the night of Diwali.

Udaipur, the city of Mewar which has a rare combination of multicultural communities and traditional lifestyle with the touch of metropolitan has its own way of celebrating every festival. Diwali is always celebrated by people of all communities and religions.

The thousands of people walking in Bapu Bazar Lane, enjoying local performers, having feast on roadside food stalls are some of the special features of Diwali in Udaipur.

After performing Pooja in home and shops, people indulge themselves in busting fire crackers, meeting close friends and relatives and celebrating the evening with joy.

At UT we always try to cover every moment that involve people of Udaipur, their passion and joyous spirit. Photo Journalist Ayush Devpura has attempted to give his best through his camera and covered many astonishing instants of Diwali Celebration in Udaipur.

We hope Udaipurites who are living in other parts of the world will definitely enjoy this post and feel close to their homes.
