Dussehra-Diwali Fair from Oct 9-23 at Town Hall Grounds
Cultural programmes from October 9 to 15 to include bhajans, poetry, comedy, dance and singing
Udaipur, Sept 7, 2025 – As Dussehra and Diwali festivals approach, the city is gearing up to host the popular Dussehra-Diwali Fair in the city. This year, too, the fair will be organised at the Town Hall premises from October 9 to 23. It will continue for two days after Diwali, with cultural programmes running from October 9 to 15. The events will include bhajan evenings, kavi sammelan, comedy shows, dance and singing nights.
Of the cultural events, two days will be dedicated to showcasing local talent, giving them an opportunity to perform on a big stage. The remaining five days will feature themed entertainment nights.
To ensure a smooth experience for the public, the district administration and the Nagar Nigam are actively working on logistics and arrangements. The front ground of the Town Hall will have rides and amusements, while the rear ground will be used for stalls and shopping areas.
Officials have confirmed that tenders for both grounds will be issued soon.
Last year, the Nagar Nigam earned Rs 2.25 crore in revenue from the fair, of which Rs 1.25 crore was spent on entertainment and cultural programmes. This year, too, the civic body aims to maintain similar revenue and expenditure levels.
