Udaipur, June 7, 2025 — Like every year, the Dawoodi Bohra community in Udaipur celebrated the festival of Eid al-Adha this year too with great enthusiasm and fervour on the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic calendar. On this occasion, special Eid al-Adha prayers were offered at all the community mosques.
The Eid al-Adha prayers for Dawoodi Bohra Youth were led by various esteemed members of the community responsible for such tasks across different localities. In Vazihpura, the prayers were led by Mulla Peer Ali, while in Rasoolpura, Mudassar Ali Zariwala performed the duties. Mulla Sajjad Hussain led the prayers in Kharol Colony and in Chamanpura, they were conducted by Zakir Hussain Habib. Aqib Hussain Palanawala and Ali Asgar Khilonawala jointly led the congregation in Khanpura, and in Khanjipeer, the prayers were led by Abbas Ali Palanawala.
After the prayers, special supplications were made in the mosques for peace, harmony and prosperity of the nation and the city. Later in the day, the ritual of Qurbani (sacrificial offering) was performed in many households.
In the evening, a community feast (niyaz) for Dawoodi Bohra Youth was organised at the Jamaatkhana located in Bohrawadi, where members of the community gathered and participated wholeheartedly.
