The festival of Eid ul Adha (Bakr-Id) was celebrated with utmost devotion and joy by the Muslim community of Udaipur today. Eid celebration began after the grand Namaz-e-Khutba at Paltan Masjid at 9 am today.

Dressed in traditional attires, hundreds and thousands of Muslim men offered the namaz of Eid and greeted each other. Many people also went to graveyards and prayed for the souls of their ancestors.

Thereafter, the most significant custom of sacrificing goat was conducted at the Muslim neighborhoods and houses.

Greetings, feasts and gatherings will continue for next few days. The celebration also marks the completion of the holy pilgrimage, Hajj.
