Friendship day was celebrated at Fatehsagar lake today.
Friendship day was celebrated at Fatehsagar lake this morning in a different yet beautiful style. Public enjoyed this special day watching the overflow of lake and gifting plants in designer pots.
Friendship day falls on the first Sunday of August. Every year, friends find ways and means of being together enjoying and re-living the moments of this special bond called ‘friendship’.
Under the title of “Hariyalo Rajasthan” a special event took place at Fatehsagar lake this morning at 7. Around 2100 plants were given away free of cost as “Plants for friendship: Gift your friend for a better future”. All children along with their parents pledged to take care of fauna and flora. It was emphasised that plants need to be taken care of just like a child.
Jain Social Group(JSG) Youth Forum “Lakecity”, Jain Social Group “Samta” and INIFD gifted Tulsi plants and money plants in designer pots. These groups also asked the public to promise that each one will take care of the environment. JSG “Samta” President Arun Mandot gave details of the entire program at the lake. Collector Vishnu Charan Mallik laid stress on the need for environment conservation. UIT Chairman Ravindra Shrimali said that the plants need to be taken care of for 3 years so that they can survive. He said that UIT has also done plantation on a large scale.
The others present on the occasion were President of The Urban Mahila Co-operative Bank Pushpa Singh Padiyar, Gajpal Singh Rathore of BJP Yuva Morcha , Subhash Kothari of JSG “Samta”, Secretary Rakesh Nandawat, Mohan Bohra, JSG Youth Forum President Shubham Gandhi, Secretary Kadmalia, INIFD Centre Director Anil Mehta and Co-ordinator Prachi Mehta. All the guests and members appreciated the efforts of one another and pledged to conserve environment. Friendship day 2017 turned out to be a wonderful memory for all.
