With another couple of years to go before they complete their 4 decades of passing out from St Pauls Udaipur, the batch of 1982 go together on friendship day this 4th August to meet their school mates, revive memories, share their 4 decades of experiences and return with the euphoria of youth and awesome memories!

The third successive reunion of the 1982 batch at St Paul’s Udaipur took place on 3-4 August at Aranyawas Resort near Ranakpur.  Meticulous planning, coordination, travel plans and holiday matching led to yet another successful get-together of this lively batch of 1982 from Udaipur’s most famous alma mater.

Successful professionals, businessmen, government officers and National Award winners make this dynamic and prolific group of friends.

Memories of friendship shared, even for a short time, is a treasure, like sunshine and warmth in our lives, like a cool breeze on a humid day, like a shower of rain refreshing the earth…..

Of the 28 friends who came together this weekend, nearly 50% have traveled specifically for the reunion from outside Udaipur, with a few of them even coming in from overseas, so as not miss this moment.  Almost 10 from the group have met all others for the first time since passing out in 1982.  Rajesh Chaplot was prominent with his presence as the Indian groomed Chartered Accountant has created waves in Africa and was recently conferred “Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA), 2019 from H.E the President of India Ram Nath Kovind in January 2019.

Life gives us brief moments….but sometimes in those brief moments we get memories that last a life time…

दोस्ती भी क्या गज़ब कि चीज़ होती है…

मगर ये भी कम लोगों को नसीब होती है…

जो पकड़ लेते हैं ज़िन्दगी में दामन इसका…

समझ लो जन्नत उनके बिलकुल करीब होती है…

Chatting, swimming, enjoying the bounties of nature, undisturbed by the calling of daily routine, the friends enjoyed some amazing moments reliving the years gone by, rekindling old friendships, loves, interests and returning with a promise to meet yet again.

This reunion, like any other, is the culmination in large part to the efforts of its volunteers, particularly the planning committee. It is these folks that generously give up their time, and put forth the effort to help everyone else catch up with a past gone by. In doing so, they help create new memories, forge new friendships, and even rekindle an old romance.
