Hundreds of devotees took part in the magnificent Jagannath Rath Yatra today. The devotees, as part of the majestic procession carrying Lord Jagannath in a chariot, chanted religious hymns all along the path. This annual event in Udaipur is organized by the joint association of several committees and religious groups.

Procession started from Jagdish Temple and passed through old city areas of Ghantaghar, Bada Bazar, Dhan Mandi, Marshal Chouraha, Kalaji Goraji, Rangniwas and ended at Jagdish Mandir.

Special arrangements were made for conducting the Rath Yatra program. The route of procession was washed and decorated with flowers. Thousands of religious flags were installed on the roadside and devotees were captivated by the spiritual atmosphere.

The bejeweled idols of Lord Jagannath with Subadhra and Balram added exquisiteness to the Rath Yatra. Tens of tableau exhibiting several Gods and Goddesses, Historical Figures of Mewar etc were also the part of Rath Yatra.
