Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti Celebrated

Sikh community of Udaipur celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth guru of Sikhs. Various religious ceremonies and programs were conducted on the occasion with entirety of devotion and respect towards one of the most respected religious and spiritual leader of Sikhism – the 5th largest religions of the world.

Sikh community of Udaipur celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth guru of Sikhs. Various religious ceremonies and programs were conducted on the occasion with entirety of devotion and respect towards one of the most respected religious and spiritual leader of Sikhism – the 5th largest religions of the world.

The festivities started a week ago, with processions and other in-house gatherings etc. However, today, Gurudwaras around the town witnessed crowd of devotees, present to partake in the activities and listen ‘Guru Vani’.

Various programs of Shabad kirtan were conducted at Gurudwara of Sachha Khand Darbar at Sikh Colony, Gurudwara Arjan Darbar at Sector 11 and Gurudwara Singh Sabha at Guru Nanak School in morning, which continued till afternoon, followed by Langar at Gurudwara Sachha Khand Darbar.

40 people oath to donate eyes

Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti Celebrated

On the festive occasion, a free eye camp was installed by Alakh Nayan Mandir, outside Gurudwara Sachha Khand Darbar. According to Alakh Nayan, more than 40 people tested their eyes and 25 people decided to donate their eyes posthumous.
