Monday was a full house at Shilpgram, with the Haat Bazaar attracting a large number of visitors who converted to buyers eventually, as both young and old were seen purchasing artefacts available at numerous stores at the Haat Bazaar. Artefacts from across the country were available at the Bazaar, making the buying more interesting as well as lucrative

This Monday was a full house at Shilpgram, with the Haat Bazaar attracting a large number of visitors who converted to buyers eventually, as both young and old were seen purchasing artefacts available at numerous stores at the Haat Bazaar. Artefacts from across the country were available at the Bazaar, making the buying more interesting as well as lucrative.

The sixth day of the Annual Shilpgram Festival witnessed visitors in throngs from within the city, upcountry villages as well as groups of School children who all came in to enjoy the activities at the 10 day Festival.

Clay and earthen artefacts at the Darpan Bazaar, including flower pots, table and harmonium lookalikes, artificial flower decoration items, clay ovens, seek mudhaas¸ cotton and silk garments, cotton bedsheets, Kuttchi woollen shawls, artificial flowers, jute artefacts, wooden furniture, etc were being sold at a large scale.

Live portraits were also a point of attraction, where painters were painting live sketches of individuals as well as groups.

The regular highlight, i.e. the stage performances by folk artists coming in from across India enthralled the audience at the packed auditorium.  Sahriya artists, Chakri Dal, and other such groups, including Rathva Aadivasi from Gujarat, Gavri from Mewar and Mashak Vaadan performed to the delight of the audience.

Sand Art by Subal Maharana on Swachh Bharat and Yoga were also an added attraction at the Shilpgram this time.  A quiz contest held during the afternoon had the participants busy competing on questions based on culture, art and heritage.  Certificates were awarded to winners of the competision, which included Shalini Dixit from Bhilwara; Jagdish Suthar from Bikaner; Lakshmi Joshi, Brajlal Bhavsar, Shivam Choubisa, Rahul Maheshwari, Peet Somani, Indu from Udaipur; Mohammad Siddiqi from Chittor and Manoj Pushkarna from Mavli.
