Today is the Lohri festival which will be celebrated with full enthusiasm and vigour. The Sindhi community will celebrate Laal Loi and various programmes will be held on the occasion. 

A programme will be conducted by the Sindhi Yuvaz Society at Tulsi Choraha in Shakti Nagar. A fair will also be held. Lohri will be celebrated in the gurudwaras as well. 
Under the cultural programmes, puja will be performed at 8 p.m. today followed by various other rituals. People will enjoy the festive food and snacks. 

Various festive snacks comprise of gajak, til revdi, dates, peanuts etc. These snacks have sesame or til as the main ingredient and is sweetened by gud or jaggery. People gather in large numbers to enjoy the festivities with each other. A wave of love and harmony with traditional music fills the air.
