Fatehsagar was witness to an extraordinary gathering of over 50,000 people, as Udaipur hosted Mewars biggest congregation of students and celebrities.

Over 50,00 students from almost all schools of the city were part of the biggest rendition of VANDEMATRAM, which was hosted jointly by the Udaipur Municipal Corporation and the Udaipur Chapter of the Hindu Aadhyatmik and Seva Samiti.

Among the Special Guests of the event, which included Cabinet Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, the evergreen music Maestro Anandji and Drummer Babla Shah, the stage was graced by the presence of Prince Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria and Kiran Maheshwari.

Delightful live music and engrossing patriotic songs, which included Ae Mere Watan ke Logon.., Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawano ka…, Mere Desh ki Dharti and Badi door se aayein hain kept all those in the audience, including the students in a trance.

Live Drums performance by Babla and Gopi, including a fantastic solo Guitar performance by Steve kept the audience on their feet.

When Steve called a student from Alok School on stage, to assist him in playing a tune, it must have made the kids day.
