Nav Samvatsar 2071: Students greet locals
On the third day of the grand celebration of Nav Samvatsar 2071 Vikram Samvat (Hindu New Year), students of Alok School greeted locals by offering a mix of Neem, Black pepper and Sugar cubes.
On the third day of the grand celebration of Nav Samvatsar 2071 Vikram Samvat (Hindu New Year), students of Alok School greeted locals by offering a mix of Neem, Black pepper and Sugar cubes.
Around 4000 students were spread across city’s main circles since early morning and started greeting every motorist, pedestrian passing through the road.
Organized by All India Nav Varsh Samaroh Samiti in association with Udaipur Municipal Corporation and Alok School, the program started with Pooja at Panchdevriya Hanuman Temple.
Dr. Pradeep Kumawat, national secretary of the organizing committee informed, “To mark the day with melody and rhythm, musicians played Shehnai at Surajpol Chouraha.”
Kumawat informed, “Pratap Poojan was also organized on main chourahas of the city where the soil of Haldi Ghati was used with religious custom and later mixed with chandan to apply tilak.”
