The Akhil Bhartiya Nav Varsh Samaroh Samiti, Nagar Nigam, Alok Institute and various other organizations commenced the celebrations of Nav Samvatsar 2072 or Hindu New Year.

The festivity began with worshiping the idols at Shri Ram Temple, Hiran Magri sector 11 along with Mangal Kalash Pujan, Panch Dev Pujan and recital of holy hymns and prayers.

National secretary of samaroh samiti Dr. Pradeep Kumawat informed that 11 priests conducted 2 hour long Puja where holy water from 7 different rivers of India was used.

Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Samiti members and Nigam officials were present at the grand Puja.

Today, on the 19th March, the celebrations will begin with various activities at Fateh Sagar. Competitions such as turban tying, quiz competition will take place along with cultural dance performance. Auto rickshaw drivers will be specially honored today at Fateh Sagar at around 5.30 PM.
