The district administration Udaipur is preparing for state level event on Independence Day. A series of cultural events will be organized both on 14 and 15th August, in which around 2500 artists of various schools and colleges will perform. The event also includes horse and camel show.

Ashutosh A.T Pednekar, District Collector, Udaipur informed that this year Independence Day celebration will be grand. The cultural event would be organized in an open place, which is still under consideration. Local artists along with School and College students will be given preference for participation.

Pednekar added that there will be a huge public gathering expected for eve before event. Administration is looking for a huge space to accommodate both artists and events to be held. A 15 day training will be given to the selected artists before the main event. B.N, M.B College Ground and Railway Training have been considered for the pre-Independence Day Celebration.

Sources added that more than 50 delegates from across state would be attending this grand celebration, along with Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje .

The official sources informed that a High Tea will be organized under District governor. As per protocol all the delegates and high rank officials will attend this official get-together.
