Sema Mitra Mandal, with the objective of continuing the 64 years old Phooldol culture with new generation, organized its 4th Phooldol Manhotsav at Bhatiyani Chohatta, Udaipur on 23rd March, Monday.

Phooldol is a traditional folk dance which is performed in the Phalgun month after 3rd day of Holi to please Lord Charbhuja Ji at Sema, situated near Haldighati. This dance is performed by men devotees. 

Sema Mitra Mandal, with the objective of continuing the 64 years old Phooldol culture with new generation, organized its 4th Phooldol Manhotsav at Bhatiyani Chohatta, Udaipur on 23rd March, Monday.

The religious procession of Lord Charbhuja Ji commenced from Sema and a welcome ceremony was held at Syphon Choraha, Udaipur.

The Shobha Yatra then started from Rangnivas Chowki. All men devotees were in the traditional dress and women were in phaguniya, piliya and chundari sari. The grand procession started at 3 PM with a religious band from Rangniwas Chowki to Shrimali Brahmin Samaj Nohra, Bhatiyani Chohatta.

After worship of Lord Charbhuja, the Phooldol started with great excitement and joy and continued for 4 hours.

In the evening, the celebration concluded with a ‘Sneh-bhoj’ for all devotees and Lord Charbhuja was given farewell with all devotion. The organizing committee foresees to make this celebration bigger next year.
