The lord of fortune Ganesha was placed at various pandals, homes and community halls to mark the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Hundreds of devotees were seen standing in a queue at Ganesha Temples to get a glimpse of their Ganpati Bappa. The 10 day festival begun from today.

Hubbub was noticed at idol sculptors where people were seen choosing idols of Ganesha for sthapna.

A fair was held outside Bohra Ganesh Temple too. Today was marked as Chaturthi and for the next nine days till Anant Chaturthi, series of religious programs including bhajan sandhya, cultural program and religious gatherings will be held. On 10^th day, Ganesh Visarjan will be done.
