The city of Lakes - Udaipur turned into the south Indian city of Puri as hundreds and thousands of devotees gathered today in the holy procession (Rath Yatra) of Lord Jagannath which started from city’s famous Jagdish Temple.
The city of Lakes – Udaipur turned into the south Indian city of Puri as hundreds and thousands of devotees gathered today in the holy procession (Rath Yatra) of Lord Jagannath which started from city’s famous Jagdish Temple.
Dressed in the traditional attires, both men and women joined the procession which passed through several areas of the city and concluded at Jagdish temple. This annual religious event is pulling more and more crowd every year.
Several communities took part in the arrangements of the procession and took care of distributing snacks and drinks, security, decoration and other arrangements.
Procession was started at around 3pm following the many rituals held in temple premises.
Thereafter, taking a massive shape, the Rath Yatra passed through Ghanta Ghar, Bada Bazar, Mochiwara, Bharbuja Ghati, Teej ka Chowk, Dhanmandi, Kalaji Goraji, Rang Niwas, Bhattiyani Chohta and concluded at Jagdish Chowk.
