On the occasion of the 473^rd Maharana Pratap Jayanti (Birth Anniversary), today, several customary and social programs were organized in the city, including several institutional organizations.

Religious groups, NGOs, communities and all castes and creed joined together to celebrate the occasion with full zeal and devotion.

Maharana Pratap Smarak (Moti Magri)

Monument of Maharana Pratap at Moti Magri was garlanded and a prayer was initiated early in the morning by Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, President of Maharana Pratap Smarak Samiti along with political dignitaries and localites.

Bands of Military, Police and Dawoodi Bohra Community played eulogizing rhythm in the honor of Maharana Pratap.

Group of physically challenged students were also present on the occasion and were specially greeted by Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar.

Grand Procession by Several communities

Under the banner of Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha, a grand vibrant procession was carried out in the city laden with tableau, bedecked horses and vehicles with Pratap’s monuments and portraits.

Almost all religious groups of the city participated in the procession exhibiting unity and enthusiasm for the great king of Mewar.

Celebration at MPUAT

Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology has celebrated Pratap Jayanti by offering respect to the grand statue of Pratap, placed in the University campus. All employees including faculties, students and officials were present.
