Maha Shiv Ratri was celebrated across Udaipur today with the expected passion among devotees, where a large number of them proceeded on foot to the Ekling Nathiji Temple for offering their prayers to the deity. Many people also thronged local temples to perform their supplication.

Special prayers to Lord Shiva were offered at Mahakal Temple, Neelkanth Mahadev, Gupteshwar Mahadev, among other places of worship in the city.

Ekling Ji Temple was chock-a-block with devotees who thronged the famous temple throughout the previous night as well as today. The temple had its doors opened from 10pm yesterday till 11:30pm today.

Devotees started their walk for Ekling Ji from midnight yesterday and social groups were present along the route to serve them with water and refreshment.

52 Rudra Abhishek were offered to the statue of Lord Shiva throughout the day.
