Rain showers were taken as blessings from God as thousands of Muslims offered Eid Namaz while getting wet in an open area outside Chetak Masjid today morning. The city of lakes is witnessing continuous rain since last night.

With little difficulty, especially for children, the Eid celebration started soon after the mass prayer. Exchange of wishes, visiting friends and eating the traditional sweet sewiyan added delightfulness to the Eid celebration across Udaipur.

The celebration of Eid which is formally known as Eid-ul-Fitr marks the completion of the month of Ramadan which consists of fasting and additional prayers, charity and recitation of The Quran.
