Ganesh Chaturthi is on 13th September. Public is enthusiastically preparing for this day. Shops are all set with idols of Lord Ganesha. Just like last year, people are promoting mud idols instead of the ones prepared with plaster of Paris. Students from various schools have also undergone training for making mud idols which are environment friendly. On the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, all Ganesh Temples will be holding special pooja. People will also have Ganesh idols in their homes and perform poojas.

Members of Banga Bhawan have prepared mud idols. The special feature this year is the Bahubali Ganesh idol which has been painted with eco-colours. The main temples of Udaipur are going to have special lighting arrangements. The temples are also being re-painted for the occasion. Main Ganesh temples of Udaipur are Bohra Ganesh ji, Jada Ganesh ji at Chandpole, Dudhiya Ganesh ji at Mallatalai, Pala Ganesh ji at Dudhtalai road, Mava Ganesh ji at Hathipole and Panch Mukhi Ganesh ji at Khatikwada. Pandals are being made everywhere so that public can enchant prayers and celebrate the festival. People make dal bati churma which is considered to be a ritual on this day.
