The festival celebrating the love and affection of brothers and sisters across the country is here. Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated tomorrow and Udaipur is all set for the occasion. The city is flooded with a wide range of Rakhis that are available in a variety of colour and design.
Tomorrow has been declared a holiday in both Government and a large number of Private offices. The auspicious time (“Mahurat”) for tying the Rakhi is from 11:00 am am -12.45pm (Labh Vela), 1.00 pm – 2.15 pm (Amrit Vela) and 8.45 pm- 9.50 pm (Bhadra Pashchat)
This year, Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated twice. 20th August is the date as per the Hindu calendars, while on 21st August, Vedic Rakhi will be celebrated.
