The much awaited annual ‘Shilpgram (Craftsman’s Village) Festival’ will begin in the third week of December.  Starting on 21^st December, it will culminate on 30^th December.  The festivities will be special this time as Shilpgram will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year.

A joint meeting between organizing authorities was held at Shilpgram on Monday 05/12, headed by Hemant Gera, District Collector, to chalk out the final arrangements at the fair.

Following were the important announcements made to make this event special:

1. Every guest and participant will be given a memorabilia commemorating 25 years of the festival in the form of a special CD and photographs of the events held in past years.

2. Arrangements of transportation have been made to pick and drop people from in and around the city to Shilpgram.

3. From 21st-25th December, each day will be dedicated to one state, main among them being Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Rajasthan. The programs will be themed on the state of the day.

4. Cooperative stalls will also be seen in the festival this year so that the public can enjoy shopping at reasonable rates.

5. Parking space will also be extended to accommodate far more number of vehicles.
