Silver Jubilee of IHHA to be held in Udaipur | CM and Union Minister Tourism to attend

Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Smt. Vasundhara Raje will inaugurate the high powered 5th Annual Convention of the Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) at Hotel Fateh Prakash Palace in Udaipur on 4 September. The theme of the Convention, ‘Looking Beyond’ is apt considering that the association is celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year. The Minister for Tourism, Government of India, Dr. Mahesh Sharma will also address the Convention.

Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Smt. Vasundhara Raje will inaugurate the high powered 5th Annual Convention of the Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) at Hotel Fateh Prakash Palace in Udaipur on 4 September. The theme of the Convention, ‘Looking Beyond’ is apt considering that the association is celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year. The Minister for Tourism, Government of India, Dr. Mahesh Sharma will also address the Convention.

Being held for the first time in the Lake City, a large number of senior officers will address the Convention. Among them are Secretary, Tourism, Government of India, Vinod Zutshi and Chairman, Advisory Committee for World Heritage Matters, Government of India, Sujit Banerjee. It will also be attended by senior government officials of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

During the event and in the presence of the Chief Minister and the UnionMinister, IHHA will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the IHHA and Kaushal Bhav Skill Solution (KBSS). The signing will be done by President of IHHA, Maharaja Gaj Singh of Jodhpur and Managing Director, KBSS, Shankar Laxman. The MoU will pertain to ‘heritage as an employable sector under Sector Skill Council with particular reference to indigenous and traditional building practices’. This was informed by the General Secretary of IHHA, Randhir Vikram Singh.

The Chief Minister will also be releasing the second edition of the Coffee Table Book of Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) during the day.

On 3 September, the Annual General Meeting of the IHHA will be held.
