Women from all over the city came together at the Gulab Bagh today for the Sukhia Somvaar ka Mela (Monday Fair).

This All Women Fair is a traditional ritual going on for ages in the city that is always organized at Gulab Bagh on the first Monday of Shraavan month of the Hindu calendar.

Females of all ages attended the fair in the evening today. Many picnicked in the park with their friends and enjoyed the entertainment stalls, rides and food stalls in the fair.

The fair had some household equipment stalls and women accessories stalls for the visitors.

As there is no particular fee for installing a stall in the fair, many traders and merchants were seen to be occupying their spaces in the park for today’s fair preparations.

The Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC) had already cleaned the park and repaired all the damaged lamps and loose wires in the park towards the preparations of the fair.
