The program started with a prayer by the kids from Bohra Youth Public school.  Thereafter, Chief Guest, Swami Agnivesh wished a Happy Eid to everybody and said, “If Truth, Justice and Right become the basis of a religion then greed would not be able to hurt the nation.  Religion should be defined in a humanistic, scientific and logical way.”

Similar concerns were expressed at Wisdom High School, where District President of Muslim Minority Mahasangh, Shakeela Ansaari said, “On this auspicious occasion of Eid Milan celebration, we would like to send out a larger message of love between different communities.  Educated class must come forward and take responsibility to propagate love and understanding between all the communities”.

She gave an example of India before independence where people from every religion lived together, showed tolerance and a feeling of brotherhood towards each other. “We must not allow our relationships with each to be affected by rumors and the happenings in the other states or countries”.

The function also emphasized the importance of education.  ADM City, Yasin Pathan said, “Girl child education in both the communities must be given more importance”.
