Centuries old traditional ceremony of Holi-Deepan was conducted at City Palace on the night of Holi festival in presence of eminent guests and many domestic and international tourists.

Centuries old traditional ceremony of Holi-Deepan was conducted at City Palace on the night of Holi festival in presence of eminent guests and many domestic and international tourists.

Prior to the ceremony, 76th Custodian of the House of Mewar, Arvind Singh Mewar arrived from Shambhu Niwas to Manak Chowk in a royal fashion with a huge procession that consisted of beautifully decorated horses, drummers, pipe band and a parade of security staff.

Arvind Singh Mewar, along with Vijayraj Kumari Mewar, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar and other relatives, encircled the Holi. Thereafter, in the pious atmosphere resounded by the holy mantras and other rituals, he proceeded to light the holy fire.

During the whole ceremony, people enjoyed the fireworks and witnessed the centuries old traditions. At the end of the ceremony, cultural programs were presented.
