Udaipur celebrates 69 years of India’s Freedom

The Independence Day was celebrated at Maharana Bhupal Stadium with enthusiasm in which the chief guest was Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria. Following a grand event, 53 personalities from various fields were honored and presented with appreciation letter.

The Independence Day was celebrated at Maharana Bhupal Stadium with enthusiasm in which the chief guest was Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria. Following a grand event, 53 personalities from various fields were honored and presented with appreciation letter.

Additional District Collector Chogaram Devasi addressed the gathering with a speech after which police, NCC and scout guide presented March past. The highlight of the show was exercise, pyramid and sword fighting performance by hearing and speech impaired kids. Students of Rajasthan Mahila School and St. Paul’s School presented group dance and group exercise, respectively.

During the event, the flag was hoisted by the Home Minister Kataria who later presented shawl to freedom fighter Lalit Mohan Sharma, Shanta Devi wife of Narayandas Surana, Kaushalya Devi wife of Ramkrishna Sharma and Chand Kunwar wife of Kanhailal Paliwal.

In the speech by Gulab Chand Kataria, he emphasized the need of upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. He also paid tribute to the martyrs, freedom fighters who contributed in the freedom of the country.

He appreciated the efforts of senior citizens in the diligent cause of cleaning the lakes and asked youth to take inspiration. 53 personalities were also honored at the event.
