The Birth of Lord Christ was celebrated with utmost devotion and zeal in the city of lakes today. Churches and cathedrals were packed with devotees who arrived early in the morning to attend the Christmas Prayers.

In Shepherd Memorial, prayers started from 9.30 am. The prayers were carried out by Rev. Ramison Victor who delivered message of peace and humanity after reading The Holy Bible.

According to Leonard Lazarus, Secretary, Shepherd Memorial Church, “Morning prayers started with sermons from the Bible, which was followed by carol singing and concluded with a message from priest of the Church. The fellow community members wished each other greeting of Christmas by kissing on the cheeks.”

Series of greetings and wishes continued whole day among people of the community.
