The 15^th day of Shukla Paksha (Hindu calendar month), which also is the birthday of Lord Hanuman was celebrated today in the city.

The idols of deity were decorated lavishly with precious materials and also varieties of food items were offered. On the occasion, number of social groups organized various events which included a mass procession and Maha Aarti. Along with sunderkand , Hanuman chalisa path were also read in all the temples of the deity.

One such event was organized at Manshapuran Balaji Temple by Manshapuran Mitra Mandal, where the Lord was offered with 56 types of edibles along with 101 boxes of ghee. A Maharaarti was also conducted around 7:30 pm at the temple.

According to Rajesh Toshi, President, Manshapuran Mitra Mandal, “Darshan at the temple was kept open since last night. It will be kept open till mid-night today.” In special offering, Lord was also offered a huge turban of 511 meters.

A social group Bajrang Dal took out mass procession on the occasion, in which tableau of Lord Hanuman and Lord Rama was included. Members of the group throughout the procession appealed to stop female feticide and to cast vote in Lok Sabha election. The procession was flagged off by Municipal Corporation Mayor, Rajni Dangi.
