Udaipur Celebrates Ram Navami
The ninth day of Hindu calendar month Chaitra is celebrated as birth day of Lord Rama, where religious groups of Udaipur organized number of social events, including Sunderkand, Mass Procession and Maha Aarti in prominent temples of town.

On the occasion of Ram Navami a special worship was also organized at Hanuman Ghat near Pichola Lake. As per ritual cannon shots were also planned to fire at venue but were canceled as per the Code of Conduct applied in the span of elections.
According to Brij Kishor Sharma, Priest, Hauman Ghat Temple, “On the day, idols of both Sita and Rama are lavishly decorated, where the Lord is offered with Bhog of various fruits and other edibles, along with Aarti held earlier this morning.”
Shri Ram Bajrang Sena (Mewar) organized a mass procession, in which tableau of Lord Rama, Sita and Hanuman was included that travelled across main circles of city. Hundreds of devotees became part of this procession which started from Jagdish Chowk around 12.30 PM.
