The festival of Eid ul Fitr was celebrated in Udaipur today with absolute delight and harmony. The Muslims observed the prayer, greeted each other and enjoyed the auspicious occasion to its fullest.

Hundreds and thousands of Muslims gathered at Paltan Masjid to attend Eid prayers which began at 9 in the morning followed by Khutba. The devotees prayed for peace, love, harmony and success for the country and all the citizens.

Besides Paltan Masjid which is one of the biggest Masjids in Udaipur, all other Masjids situated in different areas viz. Dholi Bawdi, Ali Pura, Silwatwadi, Khanjipeer, Savina etc observed the Eid Namaz.

District Collector Ashutosh Pednekar, ADM (city) Mohammad Yasin Pathan and S.P Ajaypal Singh Lamba exchanged Eid greetings with the worshipers.

Eid ul Fitr is celebrated after the completion of the month long fasting during Ramadan.
