Udaipur to Host 16th National Youth Festival

With many National and International events taking place in Udaipur, one more addition to the list is celebrations of 16th national youth Festival from January 12 to January 16, 2011 in collaboration with the State and Central governments. This is an event of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and is celebrated annually in one of the States in a joint venture.

 

With many National and International events taking place in Udaipur, one more addition to the list is celebrations of 16th National Youth Festival (NYF) from January 12 to January 16, 2011 in collaboration with the State and Central governments. This is an event of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and is celebrated annually in one of the States in a joint venture.

January 12 is the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda which is celebrated as National Youth Day and the celebrations in following week makes up National Youth Week. Main aim is to gather youth from different parts of the country to take part in various events, constituting National Integration, Brotherhood, Adventure and Communal Harmony.

Udaipur to Host 16th National Youth FestivalIn Udaipur, Rajasthan next year will gather around 6000 youths, which will participate in youth conventions, adventurous sports, food festival, exhibitions and various competitions like group dance, song, music competitions, martial arts etc. To furnish whole program successfully, 27 committees will be constituted, said Rajasthan Minister of State for Games and Youth Affairs Mr. Maangilal Garasia.

With short time left, State Government had to push up the arrangements speedily but officials are assured for the successful completion of the event in time. As far as the Udaipur is concerned, it will welcome every youth of India heartily in its unique geographical disposition for this great event.
