UMC cracks down on Tents and Gates causing obstruction to public movement

Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Udaipur, Siddharth Sihag informed that various teams have been appointed by the UMC to ensure that public utility and public convenience is not compromised with, during the festivities of Diwali.
Separate teams spread across various locations of the city, viz. Town Hall Link Road, Court Chauraha, Bhatt Ji Ki Badi, Sardarpura, Bhupalpura, Shastri Circle, Ashok Nagar, University Link Road, Surajpol, Bapu Bazar, Teej ka Chowk, Dhan Mandi, etc removing illegally erected gates and tents in the guise of decoration. Gates setup on main roads, that would cause hindrance to routine traffic were removed and business men as well as temporary shops setup on roads were warned that if any inconvenience to public movement is caused, they would be penalized.
Team members from the UMC distributed pamphlets across these areas, asking for cooperation from the businessmen, shops and other establishments including individuals, to main harmony during the ongoing festive season.
