Kala Ashram of Performing Arts welcomed New Year in pure Indian ways. Yoga and meditation were performed to welcome 2018 in Kala Ashram Foundation. Prayers, classical dance and music were highlights of this day. Kathak, tarana, thumri were part of the programme.

Tourists from Italy, Germany and Austria felt mesmerised by Indian classical music. They also learnt to perform Dhyan-yoga (meditation) and also learnt some dance steps. These tourists were in Udaipur with their group leader who said that all these people from different nations wanted to welcome 2018 in Indian traditional way. Performing yoga on early morning of 1st Jan 2018 overwhelmed them. They also expressed their desire to learn Indian classical music. They were given a warm welcome by the members of Kala Ashram.

Welcoming New Year in Indian wayPerformance by little girls swept the foreign tourists off their feet. Hridaya Khatri performed “Ish Vandana”. Megha Chhaparwal, Geet Jain, Adhya Babel, Samridhi Paliwal, Anya-Kanika, Ishanvi Pareek and some more gave performances based on folk-art. Kinjal, Anusha, Anjali Sharma, Anvesha Singh, Krutika Singhal etc performed Kathak.
