World Environment Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm today. Petroleum dealers displayed their love for environment by celebrating in a grand way.

BPCL dealers at Chetak Circle displayed their love for environment by distributing plant pots to their customers. Initially a lot of people were taken aback by the generosity, but realising the importance of 5^th June they gladly accepted the gifts in the form of plants that were being given away as a token which appealed to the masses that environment protection is our first priority to save Mother Earth. The customers were all smiles and praised the efforts of the BPCL dealers.

Going ahead with the environment conservation message, a cycle rally was also organised. Enthusiasts dressed in white t-shirts given by the BPCL dealers participated in the cycle rally which started from one of the BPCL pumps in Sector 3 in Hiranmagri and went upto Reti Stand.

Overall, the day marked the importance of protection of environment which is a must in our country facing global warming. The scorching heat needs to be brought down and that is possible only when a lot of trees are planted and taken care of.

Through the cycle rally, a message against pollution was circulated. At least one day each one of us should give up our vehicles which give out fumes polluting the environment. Cycling is also good for health, so combined with the thought of saving the environment the importance of maintaining good health through cycling was also conveyed to the public.

Let us all take an oath to plant as many trees as possible and contribute in saving the environment.
