Bollywood Diva Mallika Sherawat, who stunned the nation with the announcement of her participation in Life OK’s The Bachelorette India – Mere Khayalon ki Mallika, is ready to get the ball rolling!

The Bachelorette India – Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika has commenced shooting for the reality series at Udaipur’s royal palatial Fateh Garh Palace. Termed as the ‘Bachelorette Mansion’ for the duration of the show, the heritage palace will serve as the perfect background to the series amidst the mountains and lakes.

The Indian version of the globally acclaimed TV series is packed with a desi punch which will be high on entertainment quotient as a host of celebrities will help Mallika make the right choice.

Mallika Sherawat, who is turning heads in the City of Lakes now, is amazed with the natural beauty that Udaipur has to offer. The Directors of her reality show seem to love the natural surroundings that Udaipur has to offer, and which also connects with the theme.

Now I have these dashing men from across the country by my side who will fight it out to win my love. It is a battle between the boys, a battle in which the one who deserves the best will trounce the rest”.

In an interaction with our reporters, Mallika was in great spirits about the show she is here to shoot for – The Bachelorette India – Mere Khayalo Ki Mallika.

She explained that, the very purpose of her doing the reality Swayamwar show was to send across a message to the females of her town in Haryana, from where she hails, that a woman can be independent and choose her life partner.

Mallika said that her native town indulges in the practice of getting the girls married off forcibly before they turn 18. Hence the Swayamwar show to proliferate the message.

Mallika however was unhappy, about her parents not attending the Marriage, which will be the culminating point of the show. She said that her parents were not appreciative of the whole process.

Rohit Roy will be seen hosting the series. As the presenter, Rohit will serve as the bridge between Mallika and the contestants. He will not only be a friend and confidante to the bachelorette, but will also maintain close relations with the contestants.

Rohit Roy said, “I don’t see myself as just the host of The Bachelorette India – Mere Khayalon ki Mallika. I think I am more of a guide to Mallika. The experience is overwhelming as this show has no script and we just go with the flow.”

In a quest to finding her love story, Life OK and Mallika Sherawat have selected the most eligible men from across the globe to bedazzle her. This was done after a series of interviews, auditions and background checks.

All the selected contestants come from varied background – from professors, dentists, lawyers, businessmen, actors, DJ, RJ to bike enthusiasts, the show will showcase contestants from different walks of life. Two contestants from the USA will add to the variety.

The top contenders will participate in different activities to sweep Mallika off her feet. They will not only compete in various tasks but also add their own personal touch to everything they do. The series will be full of real emotion, right from love, admiration to anxiety and confusion.
