Former Indian cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin is in Udaipur on a short trip. Azhar interacted with media during his visit and shared his views on variety of issues.

In his interaction with First India News, Azhar talked about various issues from cricket to politics. Azhar talked about the need to sharpen the talent of cricketers coming from rural background.

Azhar also took the opportunity to share his political ambitions and views. Azhar expressed his desire to contest 2019 Lok Sabha election as a Congress candidate.

When questioned about the issue of freedom in India (background being recent comment by Nasiruddin Shah), Azhar said that Indians enjoy far greater freedom than citizens of most other countries. Considering this Azhar said that any celebrity should stay away from making any loose comment in this regard.
