Mugdha Godse has been in Udaipur to attend a private programme. While addressing the news reporters, she said that the news of casting couch in films is a mere fiction. She also said that it was actually difficult to pin point if casting couch exists at all since she hasn’t faced any such thing in her career in films till now. Casting couch has been much talked of by a number of actresses who have struggled to enter the film industry or have been wanting to make a career in acting. Some actresses have also revealed that their acting career was put to an end because they said a big “no” to the directors’ advances.

While addressing the reporters, she also said that movies and TV serials based on clashes between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law are in fact a result of public demand. People prefer watching gossips and such family clashes; hence that is what is shown to them.

Mugdha’s movie career commenced in 2008 with “Fashion” and she was nominated as the ‘Best Debut Actress’ for her blasting performance. After Fashion, she has also appeared in All the Best, Jail and Will you marry me.

Presently she is doing 2 web series with FM. She said that today’s youth is more active on social media than on screen. So staying connected through social media is more beneficial. She also laid emphasis on the fact that the nation needs public toilet facilities, specifically for women after every 2 km.
