Rs.12 Lakh worth clothes for Lord Jagannath and Goddess Laxmi
Around 8 expert craftsmen in Mewar’s traditional cloth work ‘Danka’ are giving final touch to the specially designed clothes for God’s idols kept in Mahalxami and Jagdish Mandir on the occasion of Dhan Teras.

Moreover, 10 kg of silver is used on the velvet clothes to add more significance to the antiqueness of clothes which are worth Rs.12 Lakh.
The clothes are prepared by one of the devotees Mukul Madhav Suhalka, whereas the designing and stitching is done by Rajendra Kothari.
Kothari said, “The work of cloth preparation is going on from last one and a half month. The workers from Kolkata are specialized in Danka method and are also sheer devotees. Hence they all are working hard to please their own soul.”
