Drawing Competition for Kids

Arora Progressive Group that aims at the developing hidden talents of the children of Arora Khatri Community organized a Drawing Competition for the children of the community in two groups on Sunday 14th October at Sukhadia Memorial, Durga Nursery Road, Udaipur.

The group with a core team of 10 members has been established for the academic growth and development of the children. This competition was the first step towards the attainment of this goal.

In all 29 students participated in the event; 13 in the Junior Group (Classes II- V) and 16 students in Senior Group (Classes VI- VIII). The sheets were provided by the organizers and the students were supposed to use crayons, pencil or water/poster colour to give vent to their imagination.

The themes for the Junior Group were: Favorite Cartoon or Any Animal/Bird while for the Senior Group the themes were: Any one Festival or Scene of a Road Crossing. The judges for the said competition were Mamta Joshi, Director, Baba Art Gallery and Suhail Khan, Art Teacher DPS Udaipur.

The judges appreciated the efforts of the children and also told them about their shortcomings. They picked up a few drawings for discussion.

Ravina Arora and Vitesh Arora were declared the winners in the senior group while Shreya Arora and Jai Arora remained I and II in the Junior Group. All the participants were given consolation prizes.

The group plans to organize Essay Writing Competition and Quiz in the month of December for children in various categories.
