The driver who was taking the children away to Gujarat  has been arrested. One person from Gujarat has also been accused of being involved. 

Child-labour is a crime. But this crime is not coming to an end. On Thursday morning, 17 children were rescued by police. 

These children were in a pick-up vehicle and were rescued from Kotda area. The driver Lakshman has been arrested in this case. The children were being taken to work in the cotton fields in Gujarat.

The driver revealed that he gets 50 rupees per child as his commission. The children are taken to Gujarat in the morning and brought back home in the evening hours after their work is done. Every child gets 200 rupees per day from which he takes away 50 rupees. A man from Gujarat has also been accused in this case as the children work in his fields.

The 17 children were rescued and taken to the Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad in Kotda. Thereafter their families were informed and the children were handed over to the parents. The driver is on remand and police is trying to nab the accused Gujarati man in this case.
