A 17 year old girl, belonging to Bichhiwada was raped in a hotel in Udaipur on Tuesday. Medical check-up of the girl after lodging the complaint has confirmed rape.

As per the Police report, the girl mentioned that she was currently staying in Dungarpur. On 23-Apr, she left her place to go to her maternal aunt’s place. On her way back from her maternal aunt’s place, she reached Dungarpur roadways bus depot. Here she met Umesh s/o Rameshwar Gamoth. Umesh was known to the girl.

Umesh cajoled the girl and brought her to Udaipur. Herein, he took her to a hotel room where he forcefully raped her throughout the night. He then brought her back to Dungarpur via morning bus. He left her near Gepsagar road and fled away. While the girl was walking back, she collapsed on the road.

108 ambulance received a call that there was a girl lying on the road. She was rushed to hospital and Police was informed about the case. Given that the girl was a juvenile, a case has been registered under POSCO act. Case has also been registered under SC ST act and section 363 and 376.
