An 18-yr old lady, Komal, ended her life on Saturday afternoon presumably being upset after receiving a scolding from her father in the morning. The incident happened in Savina area.

Komal had a fight with her younger brother (9). On this, Komal’s father gave her a good scolding. He then went off for his work. Upset from the incident, Komal refused to eat food in the afternoon. When her mother checked with her if she would like to have juice, Komal said yes. When her mother went out to get juice, Komal ended her life by hanging herself from a fan in the house.

Police said that the preliminary reason that is emerging is that Komal ended her life because she was upset at her father’s scolding. Police is however continuing its investigation.
