19 year old girl attacked, abducted and gang raped at Banswara

Man rapes 6-year old daughter in Udaipur | Arrested

Udaipur,07.05.24 - A 19 year old girl has been allegedly kidnapped and gang raped by two accused persons, who also attacked her with a sword on her head and chopped off her fingers in an attempt to kill her at Banswara. No arrests have been made as yet.

The incident occurred  at Danpur police station circle on 5 May around 12.30am when the victim girl was returning back to her house after attending a wedding ceremony in a nearby village. The accused who were in their early 20s, caught her and took her to an isolated place where they allegedly raped her and when she resisted they attacked her on her head with a sword and also chopped her fingers.

It was when her brother heard her screams that he and his mother both rushed to the scene and found her lying on the ground in a pool of blood merely at a distance of around 200 meters from their house. They immediately rushed her to the local hospital and admitted her for treatment.

She had received more than 30 stitches on her head,  and her condition is said to be stable, police said.

The police has lodged an FIR against the accused and started the investigation.

Later the victim in her statement to the police named the accused and also said that they attacked her when she resisted.

Deputy SP Banswara Suryaveer Singh told Udaipur Times that "the victim's statement infront of the magistrate has also been registered under section 164 CRPC.  She, in her statement said that one of the accused Kalu is known to her. Per her statement Kalu forced her to get married to him and when she refused her proposal he attacked her and raped her along with his associate Jitu." He added, "a case has been registered against the accused under sections including section 376, 307 and 363. Her condition is stable and she is being referred to MB government hospital of Udaipur for treatment. We will arrest the accused shortly however the investigation of the matter is still on".
