Hathipole police yesterday arrested two people in case of faking registry and conducting fraudulent sale of land. The two people arrested have been identified as Gulabeshwar marg resident Munavvar Hussain (s/o Kurban Hussain Bohra) and son Fakruddin.

The duo along with partners created fraud documents for a land that belonged to a deceased. They then got the registry of the land done and multiple sale of the land were carried out.

The fraud came to light when Moti Magri resident Banu w/o Hasan Ali Hitawala lodged an FIR against Devendra Chaplot, Devendra Dhanawat, Munavvar Hussain, Aslam Khan, Laxmi Devi, Surendra Singh, Aijaz Khan, Indu, Hemendra and Mohit. She said the the accused employed fraudulent mechanism to grab land that belonged to her deceased father Ismail Ali (passed away in 1994).

Police carried out the arrests after thorough investigation.
