Savina police arrested 2 of the accused in case of kidnapping and ransom that happened on 29^th October. As per reports, VP Singh was kidnapped from Samta Vihar on 29^th October by unidentified people. Investigations revealed names of smuggler Bhanwar Singh. When police took the smuggler’s family in their custody, the kidnappers ran away and hid somewhere leaving the victim behind.

Based on details, police arrested Kshetrapal Singh resident of Sector 4 and Hamer Singh of Kurabad. Bhanwar Singh and some of his accomplices are still absconding. When interrogated by police, the 2 arrested men said that VP Singh’s brother is a truck driver who became a police informer. As per the details given by him, police seized Bhanwar Singh’s trucks loaded with liquor in Gujarat as a result of which Bhanwar Singh suffered loss in his smuggling business. VP Singh was kidnapped only for the reimbursement of this monetary loss. They asked for 11 lakh rupees as ransom after kidnapping VP Singh.
