Savina police arrested 2 youths from two different areas in Udaipur. These youths had snatched a handbag from a woman in Sector 9, Savina.

As reported by Monika Solanki in Savina police station, she was on her way to RK Puram from VIP colony on her two-wheeler. 2 youths followed and snatched the handbag hanging from her hand. The jerk was strong enough to imbalance her and she fell down. The youths escaped with her bag.

There were some documents in her bag and 3500 rupees in cash along with her mobile. Based on the report, police checked through the CCTV footage of that area. They spotted these 2 miscreants. Post this; police went to the spots frequented by these miscreants and arrested Deepak s/o Vijay and Deepak Mali s/o Shankarlal Mali.

Incidents of bag-snatching have become quite common along with chain-snatching incidents. It is advised that women keep their handbags in the two-wheeler’s compartment and not hang it on their hands or on the shoulders. It becomes too convenient and quite inviting for the miscreants to snatch handbags which are hung on hands and shoulders.
