There have been 2 chain snatching incidents in Udaipur city in 2 days. Pratapnagar area and Hiranmagri area have reports of chain snatching incidents. Snatchers in both cases managed to escape.

Chain snatchers are over active in Udaipur city. In one incident in Hiranmagri, a man reported in police station on Wednesday that his mother was on her way home in Prabhat nagar area of Sector 5. 2 men on a bike came from the lane behind a coaching centre and snatched the gold chain from his mother’s neck and sped away from the site.

In another incident, an old man was attacked by a man early morning at 5 a.m. The man said that he opens his tea stall every morning at 5. Tuesday morning when he was in the process of opening his stall, somebody came from behind and almost choked him and pulled the gold chain from his neck and ran. The old man followed him to a certain distance but the man crossed the highway and ran off to the other side of the road. The old man could not follow the snatcher after this.

Police has collected CCTV footages of both areas and is trying to find the criminals.
