22 Tola gold stolen from Bohrawadi | Culprit nabbed

A civil engineer has been nabbed in connection with theft of 22 Tola gold from a house in Bohrawadi. The accused was arrested by Dhanmandi police and he has accepted conducting the theft.

A civil engineer has been nabbed in connection with theft of 22 Tola gold from a house in Bohrawadi. The accused was arrested by Dhanmandi police and he has accepted conducting the theft.

As per the information received, the theft happened in the house of Najampura (Bohrawadi) resident Zehra (w/o Mansoor Bohra) on 11 May. She lodged a complaint at Dhanmandi Police station in this regard. She initially suspected her nephew to be involved. Police arrested him and interrogated but he came out clean. Police then searched the call details of Zehra’s son Shabbir for 11-May. The call detail revealed name of a civil engineer Manish s/o Ravindra Goyal.

When police interrogated Manish with strictness, he confessed to have committed the crime. Police also recovered 22 Tola gold from his house in Bhilwara.

Dhanmandi CI Rajesh Bhardwaj informed that Manish had befriended Hussain via chatting over internet. On the day of incident, Hussain had called Manish to his house, where he stayed overnight.  In the morning, while Hussain was still asleep, Manish made away with 22 Tola gold from his house.
